About thirty-two years ago, Win entered management consulting. He consulted for CPG manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, and industry associations. In 1980, he introduced the retailer/supplier partnering process, today known as Collaborative Business Planning. With his category management approach, he introduced the new shopper-centric Retailing Business model and its core component, Shopper Solutions Planning.

Win has 50+ years of experience in the retail industry and has been featured in various magazines. He not only gained a worldwide reputation as one of the original architects of category management but also received fame as an expert in translating the principles of category management from theory to practical application. He is also known for his expertise in establishing collaborative relationships between retailers and suppliers. Twenty-four years ago, Win designed the first partnering relationship plan in the USA between retailers and suppliers. Since then, he has introduced partnerships in Australia, Mexico, and Hong Kong.

Win was a member of the FMI ECR Category Management Subcommittee and has written several articles on partnering and category management for trade publications.
